LEGACI = the dudes who back Bieber (yes, that Bieber).
They make their own music too! Here’s their site: www.wearelegaci.com
As you can see, they need a new logo. Stat.

Some studies for a body splash, for Tupperware Brands.
They approved the waves design… but their printer couldn’t handle my color settings for some reason.
The good news is I know how to create halftones in Illustrator now.
The bad news is they can’t use it anyway.
This 3-color limitation is a bit of a headache.

A friend/client of mine asked me for a major favor… to rescue this logo for her brother’s fish & chips food stall. Overnight.
As you can see, the previous artist must have just googled “fish peace” to come up with that logo. *Sigh*
Rule #1 of logo design: Never use clipart. You can use stock elements, but for the love of all that is good, please put a little more thought into your design for your client’s sake. And what’s with the fish’s legs? Fish don’t have legs! (True, they shouldn’t have fingers either, but those legs are terrible.)
I am severely allergic to bad logos so despite my full load, I knew I had to do an intervention. She needed it asap, so I didn’t have time to redesign the mascot, but I did my best and here’s what I came up with…
Not too bad for 2 hours’ work.

My best bud’s girlfriend is a tooth fairy, and she asked me to help her win this award… an entry for a poster competition, on her Dentistry Thesis! True, not the most exciting design I’ve ever done, but you should have seen it before I touched it! Hahaha…
*Breathe*
…Anyway, she once did me a huge favor, so what’s 4 hours of my life to help her win something that will spruce up her already shiny CV? And she’s pretty awesome. So here’s to you, Ms Toothfairy.
***UPDATE***
We won!!! Woohoo!!
What Meng won exactly I have yet to find out… Haha!

It’s 8/8/11 and it’s been 8 months since one of my closest friends got married to one of the best bass players in Asia.
I’ve been working with Owie to produce the Word 4 U today for a few years, and I’ve always been impressed with her work ethic, her excellence and most of all, how she deals with people with so much grace and love. And Rommel (aka Barney) was one of the first people I met when I started going to church in Victory Galleria, way back in 2002.
I love weddings, especially when I’ve had the privilege of seeing the couple’s love story develop from start to finish and it’s such a blessing to see how God’s been faithful. Despite the bloopers and funny/sad/weird stories, He really does make everything beautiful in its perfect time.

I was their coin bearer!
With Owie, I’ve been blessed with true friendship and honesty and safe places, and so much grace.
And now I have another married couple friend that are an encouraging sight to see in action, in partnership and very much in love. Owie and Rommel are expecting a baby soon, so exciting times ahead!

I just got back from my 2-week stint teaching English in Phnom Penh, and did a little exploring with my family too. Then just a quick stop to some old friends in Saigon on my way home.
